The nation did not hear the end of media-driven condemnation of a president in 2005 when democrat-run New Orleans was inundated by Katrina, local incompetence and her own corruption. Where is the condemnation for media-hidden, TRUE callousness today? Those complicit in evil do not condemn evil.

When Texas was crushed by Hurricane Ike, we were ignored because we are a Conservative, "red" state, although we are an AMERICAN state also. We did not cry, did not demand national attention and a taxpayer bailout--unlike New Orleans, a corrupted Democrat bastion for a half-century. We rebuilt ourselves with our own private insurance, helped our neighbors, and did not have a nationally-televised temper-tantrum. The intentional media silence of our suffering, immediate reconstruction, our production and prevailing over adversity was deafening--and telling.

We Americans Own This Country

Cllint Eastwood is right: we citizens own this country. Our politicians are our employees, and not our DICTATORS. Strong-armed government control of private industry IS fascism. It is the old demon of a centralized power controlling every aspect of the peoples' lives. A bureaucrat will not help your physical and mental health. He will dictate the most "efficient" (read: cheap) means of dealing with "problem with citizen unit #66655666". Obama is, by definition, a FASCIST. These radicals always end up killing people en masse, as they do not view them as people, but as objects, some of which make noise and interfere. Stalin, MaO, Paul Pott and yes, Hitler, who used the populist rallying draw of NAtional soZIalism (NAZI) to rise to power, from the LEFT. Sound familiar? If so, congratulations! You've been paying attention! If not, read up on fascism and communism, both methods of controlling a populace while confiscating their assets.

My Blood in the Battle of Bunker Hill

Dr.Warren volunteered, fought and died as a Private at Bunker Hill on June 17th, 1775, as his Commission of Major General had not yet come through. He was my maternal Great (x 5) Grandfather, and is recognized as the first American National Martyr. He said before dying, "They say we won't fight? I hope to die today up to my knees in British blood!" Mission accomplished!
This shared blood confirms why I despise the malevolent actions of petty tyrants like Barack Hussein Obama, who abuse their power and get their "jollies" by pushing people around against their will.
Live free, or die (which is when I and my brothers and sisters in Christ will be free indeed)!
God Bless the United States of America on this, her 236th Anniversary, and thank you Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coasties! Godspeed!

Flounder Flog Flies Ferociously, Friend
Firstly, we're talking Southern Flounder here, Paralychthys lethostigma , the flat critter that stalks shrimp and baitfish movements from tacticly chosen positions on the bottom of warm bays (and nearshore Gulf bottom in mid-winter) from the Atlantic Seaboard in high summer, all the way down the Gulf of Mexico to, about, well, Northern Mexican waters.
They are geniuses of the ambush, staking out positions along edges and entrances where bait and shrimp would naturally travel with the least resistence against a moving tide, and along shorelines where these prey items seek refuge from them and other predators.
Here are some shots, which reveal the basic camouflage pattern, a celestial scattering of white, star-like puffs and clusters over a brown/tan background.
Forgive the lack of focus. My cameras are 'tards when it comes to velocity of focus on a thrashing object. I'm working on that. Slowly.
They eat flies like candy. It's simply a matter of putting the fly over their roving eyes. Hit the bay locations like a good chess player, thinking "ambush", and you'll score in transitional months and also in the heart of summer, when the fish are concentrated in the bays.
The above pattern is attacked viciously. Strip it like the prey item, in this case a shrimp or, with the grizzly barred feathers, she'll also do for a Piggy Perch (Pinfish to you noble Floridians).
Flounder are, in a word, "unexpected". They strike when I'm on the redfish flats and blind-casting while I'm bored because I'm not seeing tails. But then there's the explosion of the airborne flounder flopping back onto the surface of the water after exhuberantly taking a morsel from underneath at great speed and continuing on up into the air, a foot or more sometimes, to fall back down and smash intentionally flat onto the surface, just to make a public display of his success that moment, it seems. Gotta' like the attitude!
